I’m Traci Clanton, owner of Traci’s Cherished Creations. I was born in Washington DC and was raised in Virginia. My first memory of cooking was when I was 5 years old. I got my easy-bake oven for Christmas and decided that the little cake mixes that you are supposed to cook in it were not enough. So, one morning I decided to make bacon and eggs in it.

 

However, it turned out not to be a good idea as it caught fire. As you can imagine, my mom was a little upset. From then on, she encouraged me to cook in the kitchen with her. She told me that without putting love in my cooking, it would never come out the right way. My love of cooking began, then I took vocational cooking classes and went to night school for culinary arts, but I received the best cooking lessons from my mother.
